The first great thing about the Red Rock is how accessible it is from the 215. I also stopped by the sports book and set up an online account which is easy once the staff there tells you what you need. The restroom, the furniture and the electronics all seemed to be have chosen by a seasoned hotel person with a keen eye. Our room, however, was very well worth it as we stayed in the 2nd to highest floor and the room was very spacious, clean, modern and had a great view. The hotel's awkward design forces some people (including us) to walk the entire length of the tower to reach the room. My girlfriend and I stayed here for Valentine's Day last year and the only bad thing about the room was the walk to get there. So far, I have eaten at Hearthstone and the food court and both are really good options, depending on your budget. The pool is gorgeous but the cabana prices are so expensive and come with so little aside from snacks and soft drinks, it's hard to want to take advantage of that. Since most Strip casinos don't have a movie theater, this is a big plus and as far as theaters go, this one is well-staffed and well-maintained. Locals can utilize Charleston Blvd and there's plenty of shopping between Downtown Summerlin on one side and the strip malls on the other.
